Plot:
Beowulf is a man with divine birth (not named after his father) who is known for his abnormal abilities to fight with his great strength and speed. Beowulf, who is not a pagan, but a christain, fights for righteous reasons only, not wanting any reward for his service. Beowulf heard about a monster that was terrorizing and eating men across the seas. Beowulf immediately traveled across the ocean (quest) to kill this monster. Once he arrived, he easily ripped Grendel's arm off and put it up in the rafters for display. Soon after this event, Beowulf finds the resting place of Grendal and his mother in the bottom of a lake. Beowulf easily made it to the bottom fighting Grendal's mother which was a more difficult task for him as his sword (Runting) could not pierce her, but he quickly discovered a new sword and cut her head off . Then he found Grendel and cut his head off as well. He brought Grendel's head back for display. Many years later Beowulf hears of a mighty dragon who is protecting a great treasure. Beowulf soon challenged the dragon, but during the battle Beowulf discovered he would not make it out alive. With his men discovering this, they all ran for their lives except one loyal warrior named Wiglaf. Wiglaf attacked the dragon helping kill him. With the dragon dead, Beowulf thanks Wiglaf, and then he finally dies happy. Wiglaf was annointed king by Beowulf and became a great ruler.
